Project Findings

The South Georgian Bay Cultural Mapping Project had the following objectives.

  1. To complete an initial phase of baseline cultural asset mapping for the South Georgian Bay Region.
  2. To establish and ongoing cultural mapping system for the Region that can be continuously updated and expanded by the community.
  3. To complete analysis related to regional cultural assets to inform the Regional Economic Development Strategy.
  4. To establish an ongoing cultural mapping partnership model linking municipal, community and business stakeholders to sustain and strengthen the cultural mapping system over time.
